In this role, Abeles spearheads efforts to integrate construction technology and innovation into all aspects of ABC’s strategic initiatives, included but not limited to total human health, industry-leading safety and workforce development. His team provides ABC members with the annual Tech Report, Tech Marketplace and Tech Alliance.
Samuel Baca CDO and Co-Owner, AUI Inc. Sam Baca is the CDO and co-owner of AUI Inc., a 100% New Mexico owned and operated corporation with 42 years of experience in heavy civil construction in the southwest United States. AUI is New Mexico’s largest multi-disciplined, heavy-civil contractor offering everything from structural concrete, asphalt and utilities to surveying and traffic control. Baca has previously been Business Journal’s 40 under Forty, a graduate of Leadership New Mexico and a committed community leader volunteering for not only ABC, but board member for Junior Achievement, Carrie Tingley Hospital and the Teach for America Golf Tournament as well as decades of coaching youth sports.
Laura Barnes President/CEO, ABC Central California Laura Barnes began her career in the construction industry in 1991 while working as the office manager for her family-owned construction supply business. In September 2000, she was hired by ABC Central California as operations manager. In 2001, Barnes was named the chapter’s president. Barnes celebrates her 25th anniversary with ABC in 2025.
Michael Bellaman President and CEO, Associated Builders and Contractors Michael D. Bellaman has served as president and chief executive officer of ABC since 2011. In his role, Bellaman leverages the merit shop philosophy to help members develop people, win work and deliver that work safely, ethically and profitably for the betterment of the communities in which they work. He leads the association to deliver on the organization’s long-term strategic goals. Under his leadership, ABC has deployed a five-year, association-wide strategic planning framework to align all chapters and members.
Hunter Bendall Senior Vice President, Marsh McLennan Agency Member, ABC National Board of Directors Hunter Bendall brings a unique blend of technical expertise and industry leadership to his role as senior vice president at Marsh McLennan Agency. Bendall and his firm craft tailored risk management and surety-credit solutions that help construction companies thrive in volatile markets. He is a past chair of the ABC Chesapeake Shores chapter and writes for Commercial Construction & Renovation magazine.
Roger Cannoy Regional Director, Interstates 2024-2025 Chair, ABC of Iowa Roger Cannoy has been with Interstates of Sioux Center, Iowa, for more than 20 years, managing industrial projects and teams throughout the Midwest and South. He has been a member of the ABC of Iowa Board of Directors since 2021 and is currently serving as board chair. Cannoy has also served on the ABC of Iowa Government Affairs Committee, ABC of Iowa Executive Committee, ABC National Board of Directors and several chair-appointed task forces.
Steve Cona III President and CEO, ABC Florida Gulf Coast Steve Cona III leads the largest construction association on Florida’s Gulf Coast. The chapter is also one of the state’s top apprenticeship providers. Cona is a former Hillsborough County School Board member and the former governor-appointed chair of the Hillsborough Community College Board of Trustees. He currently serves on the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Tampa Bay Planning Commission and the Florida State Apprenticeship Advisory Council.
Peter M. Dyga, CAE President and CEO, ABC Florida East Coast, ABC Institute, ABC Cares Foundation and ABC Service Corp. Member, ABC National Board of Directors Peter Dyga has served as president and CEO of ABC Florida East Coast, ABC Institute, ABC Cares Foundation and ABC Service Corp. since November 2011 and previously was the chapter vice president of government affairs for 12 years. Dyga is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute of Organizational Management and has a Certified Association Executive credential from the American Society of Association Executives. He is also active in the Florida Society of Association Executives.
Jackson Feder Vice President, MetaProp Jackson Feder is a vice president at MetaProp, where he focuses on sourcing, evaluating and investing in the next generation of high-growth technology companies transforming the real estate technology sector. Previously, he worked at Armory Square Ventures, Bowery Capital and Contrary Capital and co-founded Exxyte, a platform aimed at alleviating the student loan debt burden by providing prospective college students with better access to affordable capital.
Clare Golla, CFP® National Managing Director of Philanthropic Services, Bernstein Private Wealth Management As national managing director of philanthropic services for Bernstein, Clare Golla leads the business strategy and integration of investment management and other value-add services for philanthropic clients and other tax-exempt institutions. She has served in multiple leadership roles across the firm and, as a frequent public speaker and writer, she advocates for nonprofit and philanthropic financial health and best practices.
Lorri Grayson Founder and Partner, GGA Construction ABC Mid-Atlantic Region Vice Chair Lorri H. Grayson, founder and partner of GGA Construction, Middletown, Delaware, is the Mid-Atlantic region* vice chair of Associated Builders and Contractors. Grayson has been active in the ABC Delaware chapter since 2007 and served as chair of its board of directors in 2015. Since founding GGA Construction, Grayson has led her company to specialize in institutional; hospitality; medical and corporate office; mixed-use; and multifamily housing projects. She provides guidance and oversight in estimating, budget options analysis, scheduling and constructability reviews during preconstruction.
Greg Gutierrez President and CEO, Truitt Corp.ABC National Pacific Region Vice Chair Greg Gutierrez has been an active ABC member since 2016. He is a past chair of ABC Central California’s Board of Directors and Government Affairs Committee. Gutierrez also serves on ABC PAC and is the incoming chair of ABC of California. Gutierrez worked his way up through the ranks at Truitt Corp., beginning as a yard helper in 2005 and becoming president and CEO in 2018.
Shandon Harbour President and CEO, ABC San Diego Shandon Harbour is the president and CEO of the San Diego chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors. Throughout her 10-year tenure at ABC San Diego, Harbour has developed a premier apprentice and journeyperson program that has served hundreds of students in five construction trades. Previously, she worked for the San Diego Unified School District and the SDA Security Systems.
Mike Henderson President and CEO, ABC Greater Baltimore Mike Henderson is president and CEO of ABC Greater Baltimore. In his role, Henderson is responsible for growth, policy development, government and industry relations, board management and strategic communications. Prior to coming to ABC Greater Baltimore, he was ABC National’s Director of Communications where he worked closely with the Washington media. Henderson has also served on the Maryland Governor’s Task Force To Improve Efficiency in Government. He previously served as a board member of the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore.
Gene Jacobson President, PDC—Electrical Contractors Gene Jacobson, co-founder of PDC, is a 35-year member of ABC Wisconsin and former member of the ABC National Board of Directors. Jacobson was elected 2013 chair of the ABC Wisconsin Board of Directors after serving on the board for five years. He has also served on the chapter’s Legislative Committee and is a past chair of its Apprenticeship Committee. He is a past chair of the ABC Wisconsin Apprenticeship Trust Board of Trustees and contributed many years of service to the trust.
Lynn Kent Treasurer, Robert F. Audet, Inc. Lynn Kent is the treasurer with Robert F. Audet, Inc., a long-established electrical contracting firm in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. She has been a member of the ABC Rhode Island chapter since 1992. She first served on the chapter board in 1994 and is the past chair of the chapter. Kent currently serves on the Chapter Development Committee and enjoys helping chapters with financial literacy. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) based in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, with a professional focus on financial services for the construction industry.
Ben Lucas Wealth Advisor, Bernstein Private Wealth Management Ben Lucas specializes in working with nonprofits, including trade associations and their associated trusts, as well as founders of privately held businesses. Lucas provides nonprofits guidance on financial planning and investment management. He also assists with the creation and implementation of investment and gift acceptance policies, board education, operating and investment reserves analysis, donor development and the sharing of research on best practices in the field.
Brandon Mabile Performance Contractors Inc ABC National Secretary and South Central Region Vice Chair Brandon Mabile, strategic development manager for Performance Contractors Inc., serves as the secretary and South Central region vice chair for ABC. In 2020, Mabile was named the ABC National Young Professional of the Year. In 2019, he served as chair of the board of directors of ABC of Greater Houston. Mabile joined Performance in 2006 and was named strategic development manager in 2021.
Eric Mann Business Development Manager, Emery Sapp & Sons Eric Mann is the former chair the Board of Directors of ABC Heart of America. With a background spanning banking, brokerage, development and construction, Mann has dedicated his career to navigating and managing the many facets of the real estate industry. His strategic approach and commitment to building lasting partnerships have positioned him at the forefront of some of the Midwest’s most significant and high-impact projects.
Alicia Martin President and CEO, ABC Illinois Alicia Martin joined ABC Illinois as vice president of membership and business development in 2007. Previously, she worked for the state of Illinois providing constituent support and as a juvenile probation officer/youth advocate in Morgan County. Increasing the participation of women and minorities in the construction industry is one of Martin’s highest priorities.
Larry May Construction CPA Partner, Carr, Riggs & Ingram Treasurer, ABC National Larry May, partner at Carr, Riggs & Ingram, Jackson, Mississippi, is the treasurer of ABC. He has been an active member of the ABC Mississippi chapter since 1998 and served as the chapter’s treasurer for more than a decade. As the leader of the CRI construction services team, May provides audit, review and compilation services to general contractors, subcontractors and road builders throughout Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi. May is a certified public accountant, construction auditor and valuation analyst. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants. May was the ABC Mississippi chapter’s 2018 Construction Man of the Year.

Thomas “Murph” Murphy President, Power & Construction Group Chair-Elect, ABC National Board of Directors Thomas “Murph” Murphy, has served as general manager at P&CG, Scottsville, New York, for over 15 years and will lead ABC as chair of the national Board of Directors in 2026. Previously, he was the secretary and Northeast region vice chair of ABC. Murphy served two terms as chair of the Board of Directors of the ABC Empire State chapter. He has also served on the Executive and Government Affairs committees.
David Porter, CPA Chief Financial Officer, ABC National David Porter is a licensed CPA with over 25 years of experience in financial management and corporate accounting. Porter has worked in multiple, globally-recognized corporate and non-profit organizations. She serves as a key leader at Sears Contract Inc., a family-owned specialty contracting firm headquartered in Raleigh with offices in Charlotte and Wilmington. In 2018 and 2019, Sears Kerr served as chair of the ABC Carolinas Board of Directors, where she championed workforce development, safety initiatives and membership growth.
Hamzah Shanbari Director of Innovation, Haskel Hamzah Shanbari leads efforts at Haskel to drive technology adoption and cultural transformation across the architecture, engineering and construction industry. He is the author of “Paperless Builders: The Why, What and How of Construction Technology” and a sought-after TEDx and keynote speaker on innovation in AEC. Shanbari is passionate about helping organizations embrace emerging technologies to enhance collaboration, safety and efficiency on and off the jobsite.
G. David Sload President and CEO, ABC Keystone G. David Sload is a construction industry and association professional with 45-plus years of experience in all phases of design and construction on commercial and industrial projects. Starting his career as an architectural draftsman, Sload advanced though estimating, project management and leadership roles and served as chair of ABC’s Keystone chapter in 2000. In 2011, he joined Keystone as director of education and workforce development and was named president and CEO in 2017.
