Leadership Institute
2023/2024 chairs and chapter presidents should register for Leadership Institute to gain access to the full two-day on-site program in Coronado, California, Nov. 15-17, and year-round virtual trainings on leadership development and operations. This premier education program equips the chapter leadership team for success, with sessions on delivering member ROI, financial management, board responsibilities and peer-to-peer networking, and is required for chapter accreditation. Chapter staff and other volunteer chapter leaders are also eligible to attend.

As nonprofit organizations, ABC chapters have a specific mission that they must advance. Having the resources to advance the chapter’s mission is the responsibility of the board of directors. During this session, you will learn best practices for revenue generation at your chapter, including both through membership dues and other non-dues revenue.
Strategic Planning and Management: A Chapter Case Study
Two years ago, TEXO started a new planning process to integrate the chapter’s objectives with the chapter’s board of directors’ objectives. The process has dramatically changed the TEXO chapter, which now boasts a strong culture to retain people, alignment with board objectives and 100% goal achievement. In this session, we will discuss how TEXO set up the system with their team and board members and integrated it into their monthly board meetings.
